After a few months of living in the fast lane, here I am! Still living in the fast lane.

Only with less worries, since this thing I have been preparing for is over and done with.

It just amazes me how time flies by so. Damn. Fast.

I am also impressed at how quickly people can switch from heels to runners in a few seconds. Yes, always bring our runners, you'll never know when they will come in handy.

When we were back home in the Philippines, it seemed as if the day is dragging. From where I'm at right now, it's quite the opposite. People on the bus have mastered the art of a two-minute power nap, I have mastered waking up from my nap 2 stops away from my house. Some have learned the skill of putting on make-up, particularly mascara and brows, on a moving vehicle. Other forms of expertise include having breakfast on the bus, doing reports on their laptops (on the bus), getting dressed in transit, and a whole lot more.

That is because time is a luxury that not everybody is entitled to have. Many migraines and varicose veins have come to life because busy minds and busy legs are always going here and there, doing this and that.

However, I've come to realize that money and work won't do justice to the wonderful things in life that you'll miss if you don't slow down every once in a while. It is not healthy. As they would always say, "Stop and smell the roses". It's true. You should. It takes a lot of weight off your shoulders.

     Go for a walk.

     Go for a run.

     Enjoy the sunshine.

     Breathe in fresh air.

Sit on a bench and appreciate how people go about their day.

Eat a hotdog sandwich by the beach.

Get three scoops of ice cream.

     Smile at passersby.

Take a random photo. It doesn't have to be nice.

Sing. Who cares when you're out of tune?

There's a lot to do if you take life one stride at a time.

It's officially summer, hopefully I can take a nice breather soon, like a hike or a nice walk while taking random photos. Anything that does not require you to move faster than you ought to be moving is fine with me.

Hope you enjoy your summer as well! Take it easy!
