Wilderness Within Yourself

Sometimes, one has to let go
Of the inhibitions that set them back.
The worries that are yet to be worried,
The contentment material things forever lack.
For the time you spend inside the bubble you blew,
Is time wasted, time smothered with doubt.
So break away, do not shy away
From your labyrinth, you must find your way out.

In the morning, sing of songs that make you happy,
In this lifetime, stroke the brushes that keep you sane.
Flip through the pages that let your mind run free,
Say the words you want to say, just do, never refrain.
Sink into the deepest abyss of your thoughts,
And delve into the ocean of your old soul.
Find that audible shape, that tangible sound
That touchable passion that makes you whole.

Abandon your reservations,
Be brave and put away those doubts.
Feel the wind brush the strands of your hair,
Your fidgety feet on the hard, stony ground.
The dust on your path are your own,
The waves between your toes are for you.
Feel every endless step you take,
For every is step is you, it is true.

Run 'til you reach the the forest,
Head for the waters, the trees, the sky
Be bold like the sun-kissed mountains,
Whose echoes with conviction yell,
"If you scratch beneath the surface, you will find
This unfathomable wilderness within yourself."
