TRAVEL DIARY

HOUSEPLANTS

Eternal /ˈrändəˌvo͞o/

The other day, we saw a lovely couple doing their wedding shoot in the street. There were no balloons, no rose petals on the pavement, no confetti showers. Nothing fancy but the couple and their entourage in their lovely lavender dresses.

I'm not sure if they'd be mad if they found out some random stranger, not even a photographer, taking snaps while they were at work. If they are, then we humbly apologize.

It certainly was a lovely moment to capture them in their essence. It reminded me that the only important ingredient for people to have a good photo is spontaneous and genuine happiness, not a fabulous, well-calculated stance.

I've heard this somewhere, that it's the random, candid moments that you should treasure. Your friend's awkward reaction, the look on your spouse's face when you suddenly just break into a song, a dog's smile when a stranger stops by to pet them, a baby's face the first time they bite into a piece of lemon, a bride and groom's excited grin as they rendezvous on the street.

It's those little priceless clips in life that need to be captured to remind us that nothing beats pure, sincere bliss.
