Such Great Heights

Last Sunday, May 11th, my husband and I celebrated our second year of being tmarried. He surprised me with lovely gifts and stargazers when I woke up and topped it up with fine dining at the end of the night in a restaurant with an infinite view called Top Of Vancouver. We began ordering the entrée but I couldn't help my hands from take shots of the city and the tower revolved to give a better, panoramic view.

A mix of the old and the new.

That's how I see it, that's what Vancouver is. Vintage and New Age all at the same time. I could stay there all day, all week and just let my eyes travel as the restaurant orbits in place. If not for the fine price, I would. Don't get me wrong, it was worth it. Their Mascarpone Cheesecake was absolutely amazing, albeit pricey. I wish they'd have served it before the actual meal as our stomachs were already about to be swallowed by its own bottomless pit.

What better way to end our night than spend it talking over wine. Well my husband had wine, and I had hard lemonade. Naive as I can get, I browsed the menu for a non-alcoholic drink because I was not a fan of wine. I had hard lemonade, only to realize that it did contain Vodka as well. We've been so busy lately that we hardly have time to unwind and just talk and talk for hours. It's refreshing and romantic.

It was a good day, both laid back and extreme, definitely topped my list. Oh, and I forgot to mention that one item on my bucket list is crossed out during our anniversary. I am truly blessed. I'll always be the lucky one.
